Designing Your Ceremony

Designing a Meaningful Funeral Ceremony

There are two things to reflect upon. The first has to do with how you wish to honour and celebrate life, and the second has to do with how you wish to care for the physical remains.

HOW TO HONOUR LIFE
Gathering with family and friends during times of loss is a natural and socially-expected practice, and a funeral or memorial service is the first step in the healing process. The ways in which you can honour your loved one are vast, limited only by your imagination.

Our team can provide you with the necessary experience and suggestions to create a memorable service that fits your unique needs. You can choose the location and time of day, select your loved one's favorite music, prayers, and hymns, and even include special touches like releasing butterflies, doves, or balloons. The possibilities are endless.
We're dedicated to helping you make decisions that will provide comfort not only now but also in the future. Making the right choices during this difficult time can make a significant difference in your peace-of-mind for years to come. Contact us today to discuss your intentions and create a service that honours your loved one in the most suitable and memorable way.

BURIAL OR CREMATION?After considering how to honour your loved one's life with a service, your next important decision is whether to choose burial or cremation. While some people have a clear preference, others may struggle with this decision, especially if the wishes of the deceased were not clearly stated. Rest assured, we are here to help you make the perfect decision.
Once you have decided on burial, you will need to select a casket and a cemetery plot. Alternatively, if you choose cremation, you will need to decide whether to place the cremated remains in a niche wall or bury them in the cemetery grounds.

In Lake Macquarie Memorial Park, there's the option for a 'green burial.' If that's what your loved one would prefer, we'll help you select an environmentally-friendly choice.
